**Ohio law 3901-8-09 Prohibits Unsolicited contact with Medicare Beneficiaries. Unless you have an established business relationship with that agent. If you respond to official looking postcards in the mail, then you establish a business relationship. The only permitted contact with Medicare Beneficiaries is direct mail- your mailbox will be full. Be very careful, many of the agents that call you might be from another part of the US or elsewhere and do not pay taxes in Ohio. They also do not provide any service for you if you are in need of help !
You can complain to the Ohio Department of Insurance at 800-686-1527 with info on the caller, e-mailer, Door to door agent, or any other unsolicited contact trying to sell you Medicare related products.
