*Medicare Part C Advantage Plan Explained: A type of Medicare health plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.

*Medicare Supplement Explained: A Medicare Supplement Insurance policy, sold by private companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that original Medicare doesn't cover, like co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

*Medicare Part D Rx Plans Explained: Medicare Part D, also called the Medicare prescription drug benefit, is a United States federal-government program to subsidize the costs of prescription drugs and prescription drug insurance premiums for Medicare beneficiaries.

**Ohio law 3901-8-09 Prohibits Unsolicited contact with Medicare Beneficiaries.  Unless you have an established business relationship with that agent.  If you respond to official looking postcards in the mail, then you establish a business relationship.  The only permitted contact with Medicare Beneficiaries is direct mail- your mailbox will be full.  Be very careful, many of the agents that call you might be from another part of the US or elsewhere and do not pay taxes in Ohio.  They also do not provide any service for you if you are in need of help !

You can complain to the Ohio Department of Insurance at 800-686-1527 with info on the caller, e-mailer, Door to door agent, or any other unsolicited contact trying to sell you Medicare related products.
